Qatar to host major hospitality, real estate and airline events in June

Doha: The country is set to host major events for the month of June, from human capital management, music, construction technology and building materials exhibition, hospitality, from the air travel summit, to sports tournaments, the public will enjoy jam-packed events and forums.

On June 1, the second edition of the Qatar HR Conference 2022 will be held virtually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. With the theme “Excellence in Human Capital Management”, it will offer a one-day virtual conference and exhibition.

The event will bring together key leaders from the human resources, recruitment, education and training sectors to share ideas and invaluable business experience with other industries and businesses to help them overcome uncertainty and be more agile. There will be three sessions covering four topics each.

The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) will perform a concert titled The Best of Franz Liszt on June 3 at Katara Cultural Village, Opera House. QPO said: “The concert will feature the Piano Concerto No. 1, a piece so magnificent that it took Liszt more than 25 years to complete, as well as Les Préludes, Liszt’s best-known symphonic poems. Liszt. This concert is for piano lovers because Liszt was considered the greatest piano virtuoso of his time. János Balázs will play the solo piano and Alastair Willis will conduct.

From June 6 to 9, Hospitality Qatar 2022 and Project Qatar 2022 will both be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

From June 9 to 10, the Future Retail Destinations Qatar Forum 2022, for its first year, will be held at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. It is a platform to showcase and position Qatar as an inspiring and unique shopping and entertainment destination in the region. The Golden Age Classic concert by the QPO and the Music Affairs Center of the Ministry of Culture will be held on June 9. It will include music from big names such as Umm Kulthum, Fairuz, Faraj Abdul Karim, Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Ali Abdul Sattar among others. In the Sporting Events category, the 9th Doha – QAT Asian Senior Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held on June 15 at the Aspire Academy.

QPO is back for a concert titled “The Best of Brahms” on June 18 at Katara Cultural Village Opera House, conducted by Maestro Elias Grandy. The concert includes one of the great musical expressions of the tragedy of the Romantic Age “Tragic Overture to Brahms” and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. Audiences will also be able to listen to Queen Marie Antoinette’s favorite Symphony “Symphony No. 85 known as The Queen (The Queen)” by Haydn.

Hosted by Qatar Airways, the 78th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) will take place from June 19-21. QPO will hold two concerts on June 21 and 25 titled Classical Hits – Bruch Violin Concerto and Northern European Impressions by Grieg and Sibelius respectively. Both concerts will take place at the Katara Cultural Village, Opera House.

Classical Hits – Bruch Violin Concerto includes one of Mozart’s supreme achievements and one of the greatest operas of all time “Don Giovanni – Overture”. And Max Bruch’s most popular violin concertos in the solo violin repertoire “Violin Concerto No. 1”, in addition to Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 4”. The performers are Joo Young Oh (lead violin) and the famous Elias Grandy will conduct.

The Northern European Impression Concert will feature Sibelius’ most enduring work “Finlandia”, the symbol of the end of the nation’s struggle, in addition to universal favorites with its bright and cheerful character “Peer Gynt, Suite No 1” d ‘Edvard Grieg. The program ends with the romantic and memorable melodies of Sibelius’ Symphony No. 2.
