Page will present its Distinguished Service Award to Museum of Public Relations founder Shelley Spector at its annual conference on September 18 in Chicago. The award recognizes leaders who have enhanced the role of corporate communications and public relations in business and society by providing service to the profession. “Shelley started the Public Relations Museum with just a few boxes in her basement, and she’s incorporated it into an amazing collection of rare artifacts, oral histories, letters, photos and films,” said said Maril Gagen MacDonald, Founder and CEO of Gagen MacDonald. and Chairman of the Page Honors Committee. The September 18 ceremony will also honor Madan Bahal, co-founder and managing director of Adfactors PR, India’s largest PR firm, who will be inducted into the Page Hall of Fame.


New York Women in Communications hold her 52n/a Annual Matrix Awards on October 26 at the Ziegfield Ballroom in New York City. This year’s honorees include Devika Bulchandani, global chief executive of Ogilvy, Judy Woodruff, anchor and editor of “PBS NewsHour”, Elizabeth Rutledge, CMO of American Express, and Tiffany R. Warren, executive vice president, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Sony and Founder of ADCOLOR. The ceremony will also recognize NYWICI’s 2022 University Scholars. To date, the organization has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to support young women in their academic and professional pursuits.


The USC Annenberg Center for Public Relations presents its third “Lead On! Women in Leadership Forum” on November 10 and 11 at USC. The summit is aimed at mid-career women in public relations and communications. Among those scheduled to present at the event are Samara Bay, career and dialect coach, and Liz Fosslien, Humu’s content and communications manager, as well as senior public relations people from companies and agencies such as that Microsoft, Riot Games, Snap, Warner Bros. Discovery, Roc Nation, Amgen, JSA+Partners, Edelman and Golin. There will also be interactive workshops and networking sessions to improve leadership and communication skills, refine negotiation strategies and build confidence. Summit registration is now open.
