1992 – The Republic of Kazakhstan becomes the 164th state to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
2006 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens its doors in Abu Dhabi to strengthen diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the UAE.
2012 – Citizens of Kazakhstan participate in the parade of Turkic-speaking countries in New York to wave their flags and show off their national costumes.
2013 – The then President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, institutes the State Prize named after Al-Farabi for scientific research and groundbreaking innovations.
2013 – Baiterek National Management Holding is established to optimize development institutions, the management system of financial organizations as well as to develop the national economy.
2014 – Kazakh Agro-Technical University Seifullin is recognized as the best institution of higher education in terms of innovations in the CIS. Rector of Akhylbek Kurishbayev University receives a gold medal on this occasion.
2014 – The Republic of Kazakhstan is elected as the chair of the Asia-Pacific Forum for Sustainable Development.
2017 – Kazakhstan wins gold at the Archery World Cup in Shanghai, China for the first time in its history. Denis Gankin, Sanzhar Mussayev and Oibek Saidiyev win the World Cup.
2021 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland presents his credentials to Director General of the Universal Postal Union Bishar Hussein.
