Today we present to you our next speaker Gustaf Hoffstedt, General Secretary of the Swedish Trade Association for Online Games
Gustave Hoffstedt has been the general secretary of BOS, the Swedish trade association for online games since January 2015. Members of the association include all major operators and providers who operate with a license in the European Union, but outside Sweden. Prior to joining BOS, Gustaf was a Member of the Swedish Parliament for the Moderate Party, and Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Social Council in his constituency of Gotland before that. Gustaf fought for the abolition of the Swedish gambling monopoly and the establishment of a licensing system for over a decade. He is happy to see that things currently seem to be moving in the right direction. Gustaf resides in Uppsala with his wife Caroline, who is the municipality’s deputy mayor for the Social Democratic Party – the traditional rival of Gustaf’s own party. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking in the mountains of northern Scandinavia.
Here’s what attendees of the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit series are saying:
Sissel Weitzhandler – Head of Risk and Compliance at Play’n GO:
It was an honor to attend the Mare Balticum Gaming Summit in Riga last week. The agenda and topics were extremely relevant as evidenced by the high level of interest and the whole event was very well organised. It has been an absolute pleasure to participate in this forum which has been so well attended by regulators, legal experts, industry representatives and operators, where ideas and lessons can be shared and learned. I would like to thank the organizers, the individual panels, including my distinguished fellow panelists. I hope to be back as I think this is an event not to be missed.
