ZEISS ANZ recently held three Experience Showcase events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, showcasing its extensive product portfolio and the first presentation of its latest innovations in phacoemulsification and femtosecond laser technology.

These events provided an opportunity for clinicians and hospital staff to gain hands-on experience with “the fully connected ZEISS portfolio”, an experience the company says has been rare lately due to many conferences passing and congresses in virtual format.

After weeks of preparation, the company welcomed a steady stream of attendees to the flagship events. Equipment and software on display demonstrated the fully connected workflow for retina, glaucoma, cataract and refraction.

Attendees experienced the cataract workflow, from the IOLMaster 700 to software solutions that facilitate cataract planning and seamless data transfer. ZEISS also presented EQ Workplace and EQ mobile, up to the operating room with the OPMI LUMERA 700 iOCT microscope (with CALLISTO eye and RESIGHT 700).

The company’s latest innovations were also on display, including the QUATERA 700 on display for the first time, with customer feedback reinforcing this offering as a seriously competitive offering in phacoemulsification, ZEISS said.

Also featured were ZEISS Retina and Glaucoma workflows, best-in-class OCT with CIRRUS 6000, premium optics with SL 800 slit lamp, CLARUS ultra-widefield imaging, VISULAS green therapeutic laser, Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 and software solutions with FORUM Retina Workplace and Glaucoma Workplace. .

The VISUMAX800 made its Australian debut at these events, with a host of experts gathering for clinical discussions.

“It was a fantastic experience to introduce the latest femtosecond technology to our Australian customers,” said Mr. John Ring, ZEISS Business Development Manager for Refractive Lasers.

“The VISUMAX 800 is based on more than 10 years of experience and more than 6 million SMILE procedures worldwide. Special thanks to our local speakers, Global Product Manager Mr. Burkhard Wagner and our local clinical application team to Jacqui Hannah and Tina Pham for their wonderful support.

Practitioners can experience ZEISS workflows at a host of upcoming conferences in 2022.
