Android users will soon be able to change languages in the app

The Meta-owned social messaging platform brings the app language setting to some Android users. As reported by WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp Beta for Android allows users to change the app language in WhatsApp settings. For those who don’t know, WaBetaInfo is the platform that tracks new and upcoming WhatsApp features.

“WhatsApp offers the ability to change the language of the app from WhatsApp settings and the welcome screen is available for some beta testers and, as always, more activations are planned over the next few weeks”, indicates the report. Additionally, users will be able to change the app’s language each time you reinstall WhatsApp as there is a redesigned welcome screen, the report adds.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has released a new beta update for Apple devices. iOS beta update brings a new group chat layout. According to WaBetaInfo, the new layout replaces the “forum-like chat layout” in WhatsApp group chats.

Currently, WhatsApp users cannot see the profile pictures of other group chat participants. But with the new update, the instant messaging app will offer the option to view participants’ profile pictures and the conversation will continue in a “forum-like” layout.

The feature is already available in other social messaging apps such as Telegram, Skype, and Slack. When rolled out on WhatsApp, it will allow group members to identify who has messaged in the group by looking at their profile picture. The feature will come in handy when you are added to a large group where you are unfamiliar with other group members.

“This feature is under development, so we don’t know when WhatsApp will release the changes for users,” the report said.
