2023: Group blames Abati for outburst against PDP leaders

One group, the Niger Delta Youth Leadership Forum (NDYLF) has slammed former presidential spokesperson, Dr Reuben Abati, for his outburst against People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, for allegedly tolerating the governor’s alleged excesses of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
The group said Abati’s outburst is a clear attempt to slander and denigrate Governor Wike and PDP leaders, noting that the former’s description that party leaders were “starving men who allowed Wike to take control of the party “was one insult too many for both of them. the Governor of Rivers State and party leaders.
Niger Delta Youth Leadership Forum (NDYLF) President Richard Akinaka said Reuben Abati’s position was ax work and a clear indication that this was a case of a vendetta against Governor Wike.
This was just as the NDYLF Chairman also added that Abati’s outburst against the duo of Governor Wike and party leaders also amounted to his unholy political affiliation and alliance with those who may have him charged with using his platform to denigrate the character of supposed political enemies. .
“Reuben has so far in his conduct not only on Wike but other previous altercations with guests on his program, demonstrated partisanship, therefore he is no longer fit to be on such platforms. His attitude so far is a demonstration that he has failed to remove the sweetness of the lollipop attached to his former presidential spokesman office where he performed miserably and would like to return to that office to correct his previous failures.
“Wike’s records as a successful career lawyer and politician are an open book even for the blind to read and the deaf to hear, having become a member of the body of advisers, from Chairman of the Council to Chief of Staff, Government House, then to the Minister, and finally to one of the finest Governors in the history of Nigeria and above all, a presidential aspirant who embodied the aspiration of the entire South as evidenced by the wide support he enjoys, which is an obvious frustration for Reuben’s interest.
“But unfortunately for Abati, there is no trace of advancement in his decorated media career of around three decades, as he has just been the employee of his younger colleagues. Abati employed as a television presenter, simple newsreader and columnist by a junior colleague, for all these decades in his profession, he has failed to mount his own structure, should be one of the arbiters to feed the Nigerian people with a balanced and unbiased diet. problem analysis,” the group said.
“An Abati who is successful in his career at this stage should have been an employer of labor in his field to mentor others younger, or maybe he likes that the people he promotes want to perpetuate and deprive the younger ones from growing up Reuben Abati as President Spokesman was no match for the opposition led by Lai Mohammed who deflated and incapacitated him to the point that Nigerians n never knew Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency was perhaps the best.
“Reuben’s activities lately could be perceived as not working for his former boss – Jonathan du Sud in 2015 because some of us have just come to realize how he was unable to informing Nigerians about the good things of Goodluck’s presidency. This may have been part of his failure. In politics, his only achievement was an attempt to be a candidate for the post of Deputy Governor of the PDP in the State of ‘Ogun, what he failed.
“If Arise TV wants Nigerians to take this seriously and value their services, they must urgently purge the station of blackmailers and PR contractors. For some of us, unlike the Abati, what Wike has done for the PDP was an act of excellent leadership to keep our democracy competitive,” the NDYLF added.
